Our six week sessions follow a progression through the game of tennis that is beneficial for all ages and abilities. Each week of class has a specific tennis and character theme. While continuing to address player's individual needs for growth, these themes are used to provide focus in our instruction and daily lesson plans.

Define 

The words defined below are all used as character themes throughout our sessions. More importantly, these words represent core values that are crucial to practice on and off the tennis court. Write/copy each word & definition yourself. Keep this list in your room, tennis bag, or anywhere it can serve as a reminder. 

Attitude

A settled way of thinking or feeling about someone or something, typically one that is reflected in a person's behavior

Effort

A vigorous or determined attempt; strenuous physical or mental exertion

Respect

Due regard for the feelings, wishes, rights, or traditions of others

Gratitude

The quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness

Responsibility

The state or fact of having a duty to deal with something or having control over someone

Kindness 

The quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate

Sportsmanship 

Fair and generous behavior or treatment of others, especially in a sports contest
